#of marbles(white+non-white)=x
Or, y+non-white=x
Or, #non-white=x-y

Percent of Dons marbles that are NOT white=$$\frac{#non-white}{#Total-marbles}=\frac{x-y}{x}*100$$=$$\frac{100(x−y)}{x}$$

Non white marbles = $$x - y$$

So, Percentage on non white marbles = $$\frac{( x - y )}{x}100$$, Answer must be (B)

Since Don has x total and y white marbles, he has (x - y) non-white marbles, so the percent of marbles that are not white is (x - y)/x *100 = 100(x - y)/x.

Answer: B
