Pakistan Flood Relief donation drive
Dear GMAT Club members and visitors, I am appealing for your help on behalf of the people of Pakistan, my family, and my friends.
Pakistan is going through some very hard times. Rainfall has broken the country's record and resulted in the biggest flood in Pakistan and especially in the South Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) regions of Pakistan. According to the reports, approximately 30-35% of the country has been hit by floods. Some stats are provided below. (As of August 28th 2022)

I am seeing the situation with the naked eye and I think this is the utmost needy time to help people of flood-affacted areas in Pakistan. I request the GMAT Club community and visitors to help wwholeheartedly and make their mark on humanatarian basis.
What we are doing right now we buy necessary food items, pack and distribute them to needy people. One of my class fellows lives in the affected area and he helps us identify the right people worthy of help. In this way, the donated packets go directly to the eligible people. We are locally collecting money and buying items and loading them on a mini truck to distribute them. Complete accounts of money collected and spent will be maintained and we will update each activity here at this post. I will make sure each penny is spent for the betterment of flood victims.
Unfortunately, the majority of the local charities in Pakistan lack the infrastructure to process payments outside of Pakistan and rely on often complex wire transfers. To help facilitate contributions, the GMAT Club team has taken the initiative to create a fund using the GMAT Club payment system. I am very thank full to bb and the GMAT Club team for providing assistance and this platform to collect the donations.

- 125 districts affected, including 72 districts officially declared ‘calamity hit’.
- At least 1,100 people killed and 1,600 people injured.
- Rainfall nationwide is 2.87 times higher than the national 30-year average, with some provinces receiving more than five times as much rainfall as their 30-year average.
- More than 30 million people are affected (Displaced and homeless) by the flood.

It is really devastating the amount of flooding. I think I have seen a figure of 30% of the country has been flooded. That's terrible to the population and the economy. Happy to support your home country Sajjad and offer my contribution.
Also happy to collect funding. Sounds like you are buying food for people who have been affected. Is there a goal or amount you are looking to raise?

I don't know whether I am expecting too much or too less, I have my thoughts if we can help 50+ small families to get them basic food items enough for 2-3 weeks would be great. For that, I think 10,000$ would be enough. I have no idea whether we can collect such an amount. I am very thank full to you for your support.
