There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I took the gmat in the middle of December and messed up quant so I gave it a second try int he middle of January.
As you can probably infer from the topic name, my verbal score dropped from 35 to 27. To be perfectly honest, I am still analyzing what went wrong. I felt a lot more confident in SC. CR and RC (especially CR) have never been an issue for me. However, during my second attempt a got completely abused by at least one really heavy RC passage. I cannot really say whether I have messed up CR. It felt very difficult but my hit rate has never been under 85-90% so I ask myself whether the drop in my verbal score could be purely related to RC assuming my performance in CR and SC stayed the same as in the first attempt...
Has anyone ever experienced a similar decrease?
Cheers and thanks for your answers!
