Thank you there are no middle names only given names and surname so shall I do it as mentioned in I-20?
I have tried to search for these data online but I couldn't get anything.

Sorry about not finding any answers.
Yes, I would try to match your I-20 so there are no questions. Hopefully that also matches your passport/ID.

Filling out the DS-160 form can indeed be tricky with its specific requirements. Here are some guidelines to help you navigate your questions:

  1. City of Birth Not Mentioned:

    • If your city of birth is not mentioned on any official document, you should still try to provide the most accurate information possible. If you know the city of birth, write it in. If you're unsure, some applicants choose to put "Unknown." However, it might be helpful to contact the consulate or embassy for guidance on this matter to avoid any issues.
  2. Name with Multiple Parts:

    • For the DS-160, your "Given Names" should include all first and middle names as they appear on your passport. If you have two middle names, include both in the given names section. Your "Surname" is your last name. The form is designed to accommodate multiple given names.
  3. Parental Names with Different Lengths:

    • For your parents, the "Given Names" should include all names except their surname (last name). If your father has three names in total (assuming one given and two middle, or any such combination), include all except the surname. For your mother, if she has four names, follow the same rule: all names except her surname.
  4. Additional Contacts Address:

    • When providing details for additional contacts, you should include the full address. This means street address, city, state/province, and country. The more specific information you provide, the less likely you will face issues due to insufficient details.
  5. Alphabet Native Full Name:

    • If asked for your full name in native alphabet (for example, if your native language uses a non-Latin script like Cyrillic, Arabic, or Mandarin characters), you should provide it if your native language uses a different script from English. This helps in verifying your identity and is particularly important if your documents or records in your home country use that script.
  6. DS-160 Application ID vs. Confirmation Number:

    • The DS-160 application ID is a unique identifier for your application and is used to retrieve your form if you need to pause and resume filling it out. The confirmation number is provided once you submit your DS-160 form online and is used for scheduling your visa interview. They are not the same.
  7. Receipt Number for Visa Fee:

    • After paying the visa application fee, you will receive a receipt number. You need to enter this receipt number when scheduling your visa interview, not immediately in the DS-160 form. There might be a processing time before the payment is activated, so check the instructions provided by the payment receipt or the embassy/consulate's guidelines.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's always best to consult the official website of the U.S. embassy or consulate where you will apply, as procedures and requirements can vary slightly by location. If you're unsure about any details, consider reaching out directly to the embassy or consulate for clarification. If you are looking for abroad education loan reach out to GyanDhan here
