I would for C ..

Here is my reasoning:

To find the solution we need to the know the value of K.

We have an = a(n-1) + k.

Statement -1 :
a = 24
a2 = a+k = 24 +k
a3 = a2 + k = 24 + 2k ...
..
..
a15 = a14 + 13k

Using any of the equation above does not helps us in finding a.

1 - Insuff.

Statement 2 :

a8 = 10.

Insufficient.

Together :

a8 = a7 + k or a8 = 24 + 7k = 10 => K = -2..


And then I can go about shooting every option.
Hence 1 & 2 Sufficient.

C .

I will also go for C.

a8 = a1 + 7k

since a8 < a1, k must be negative. Hence any term after a8 is less than 10.

my answer is C

from one first term = 24.....insuff

from two...insuff

both

if the first term is 24 and the 8th is 10

thus sure we know that the first seven terms are greater than 10

B IS ENOUGH BECAUSE A8 IS MIDDLE TERM EITHER WAYS 7 IS GREATER

From either statement 1 or 2, it is not possible to find whether k is positive or negative. So, INSUFF

Putting them together, the value of K is negative. 8th term = 10. So, 7 terms are higher than 10 in the series.
