I'll throw my name into the waitlist hat (though it looks like the waitlist group ended up taking over the Fuqua main thread last summer).

I've only got a couple updates to provide (probably within the week - before R3 decisions in May), but I don't expect to have too many updates throughout the summer.

I wonder if they admit/ding international applicants earlier (I'd imagine there is a logistical drop dead date due to Visa processing)

According to last year's thread it looks like there were some waitlist applicants who were let in earlier in the process, but it also seems as though there were a few who were let in right before orientation.

Hey All -

I was on the waitlist last year and re-applied this year. I can try my best to provide any insights I learned last year.

In terms of international, it seems they must know earlier to accommodate Visa needs. For those not needing Visa's it goes up until day 1 for classes.

WLsted in R2. Also sent one consolidated set of updates this Monday(30th Apr) and none earlier. Hope it was not too late for them to consider!
All the best to everyone waiting for news.

P.S.: May 1 was the deposit date for R1 and R2 admits, so it is the single biggest movement = best chance that one will see for WL conversion.

According to last year's thread WL applicants didn't find out until the Monday after the r3 notification. If this pattern holds its going to bee a long weekend.

Just thought I with pitch in here, I was waitlisted after R1 and actually got in when the R2 updates came out. From what I heard if you dont get an update with R3 that means you are still waitlisted, otherwise you get an email saying your decision is available. I also spoke to one of the adcoms at an event in San Francisco recently and he mentioned that their waitlist is highly selective and relatively small, so that made me feel a lot better.

After I was waitlisted I sent a 1 page update with information on a promotion I got at work, a calculus class I had enrolled in and a leadership position I had taken on in a group I belong to.

I was waitlisted at 3 schools, so I realllly know this limbo feeling. But I wish everyone luck today and going forward! My fingers are crossed for you!

For what its worth, if they took till now (orientation day?) to keep you on the WL, then you (and anyone else) on till now, were the best picks that they would have switched in for absolutely any vacant spot that could have become available. Not sure if you plan to re-apply but if you do, you have the best chance a re-applicant could have for applying for next Fall. Fuqua loved you, but maybe a little too late. I would say that your chances of getting into Fuqua next year (and early) would be very high.
