Hi Everyone,
I am a Tech Professional, I have worked in Ericsson for 19 months in Domain Support after completing my Engineering from IIIT Bhopal, INDIA. I took a year-long career break to pursue Independent Filmmaking and was somewhat successful. I decided to pursue a degree in General Management to venture into consulting, with options open to Product Management and Business Operations.
I applied to a total of 4 Schools and have heard back from all of them, and I have narrowed it down to two choices.
HEC Paris MiM (via JASIF) - Denied
Cornell MPS in Management - Denied
ESSEC MiM - Accepted
ESCP MiM (via JASIF) - Accepted
Duke Fuqua MMS: FOB - Accepted
(Kellogg and Booth refused to consider applicants who graduated more than 2 years ago, Ross refused to consider the application for a different reason.)
I am now confused between Duke Fuqua MMS vs ESSEC MiM.
I have done my research and found the following information, I need your help in deciding which one is a better program in General and for me, considering career prospects, life after graduation, prestige/recognition, etc.
- ESSEC MiM is a 2-3 years long flexible course offering Junior Consulting Experience, and specialized chairs like ABAC, GDC, CIC, etc., whereas Duke Fuqua MMS wraps in 10 months focusing on case-based learning.
- ESSEC requires French Language proficiency but many European countries don't, whereas USA is English speaking.
Questions:-
1. Which is a better course for me coming from a Non-Business background?
2. Which course has better work opportunities and holds strong to get a job in India as well in Future?
3. Which school works better for Strategy and consulting, and looks better on CV for recruiters and other B-Schools?
I have already paid the deposit of $6512 to ESSEC Business School. (since they released the results a month ago)
