A. more than 'never were over were never' I believe it is the 'they' in E, which is unnecessarily lying there.

Another A, but sounds weird...I was lkooking for something like "were never sold"

A for me as well. In all the others there is no agreement between verb/subject or they are wordy.

b) subject-verb agreement.
c) subject-verb agreement.
d) "products that, ...., the products were never" is not correct
e) "products that, ...., they were never" is redudant because it has "that" and "they" that refers to products.

I believe A is the best answer -> "products that, .... , never were sold."
