Hello Everyone,
As I prep for GMAT, I have been using E-GMAT for Quant. I noticed my accuracy on Hard PS is horrible with E-GMAT questions, its at 20-50%. My timing is horrible as well ave. 4-6min/q.
I am baffled, depressed and honestly lost for direction. The E-GMAT hard accuracy expectation is 70% with 3min/q. With such a huge delta, I now feel I am nowhere close to my target.
Can anyone provide any suggestions and insights please? I feel I am absolutely incompetent now, with these results...I feel hopeless...

Hi,
If you're practising with the scholaranium, note that for hard questions, the expectation is to score above 55% in cementing quizzes. I understand this can be challenging when you first start cementing after completing the section module. My advice is to never skip to HARD cementing before consistently hitting the accuracy level for medium cementing quizzes. I had hard time with Number Properties as it is my weakest area and is also the first sectional module in the course. I suggest you to be an error log as suggested and use that methodical before attempting quizzes. This will help build the accuracy for HARD level quizzes. There are enough number of medium and hard cementing quizzes to attempt to get to the required accuracy level.
It can be frustrating initially but if you stick to the process diligently, you'll fix your concept gaps and eventual be able to improve the timing as well. Take quizzes in relaxed mode before attempting them in standard mode. If you consistently scored above the cut-off in 2 or more quizzes, then take the next 2 quizzes in standard mode until you hit the cut-off. This step is especially important for Medium cementing, but can be skipped for Hard cementing cause as a rule hard questions will even in actual GMAT can take 3 minutes.

Thanks for the response. I am mostly constrained for time...
With OG Medium questions I am comfortable with 2-3min with almost 90% accuracy, with E-GMAT Medium I am needing 2.5-3.5 min for 90% accuracy.
With OG Hard questions I am comfortable with 3-4min with almost 70% accuracy, with E-GMAT Hard I am needing 4-5 min for 60-70% accuracy.
The E-GMAT Hard are extremely hard, they take 2min just to freaking understand what is given. Another 1min to formulate, and seem to have extensive calculations, that run-up to 2-2.5 pages. They seem to have 3 problems within a single problem. I come from a Math background, with substantial calculation speeds...
My primary problem is the time expectations (2-3min for hard) are completely messing my accuracy, my confidence and time strategy for OG solving. In a typical Official Mock, I solve 5-8 questions in less than 1 min to 1.5min, 5-8 questions in 2-2.5min and 4-5 questions in 3-4min. And my overall timing is well managed.
I do want to up my game and build more resistance for hard questions.
Here are my questions for E-GMAT questions: Is it ok if I prep with 3min for Medium and 4min for Hard?
After the recent disaster in practicing E-GMAT, I needed 2 days just to recover mentally...
