Each edge of a cubical block of wood measures 2 inches. What is the surface area of the block in square inches?

(A) 4
(B) 8
(C) 12
(D) 16
(E) 24

Area of one face = 2 * 2 = 4 square inches,
Area of 6 faces = 6 * 4 = 24 square inches

Answer choice: E
