Each section of GMAT test has different weightage. the weightage of QA, VA and IR section was 8,9, and 10 respectively. the max marks in all the sections together were 810. wrong answer did not carry negative marks. if Jen haD gotten 20% more marks in QA & 8% more marks in VA & 7.14% more marks in IR, then she must had gotten 100% marks in all the three sections. the total marks that Jen had scored:
a.730 b.740 c.700 d.750 e.775

Terrible method, would be interested in improvements.
\(1.2 \times a = 240\\\\ 1.08\times b = 270\\\\ 1.0714\times c = 300\)
\(a = 200\), by inspection.
Try a reduction by 27 on both sides for \(b\). We know that the multiple to obtain 108 must end in a 4, so try it. \(108 = 4 \times 27 \implies \frac{4}{100} \times b = 10 \implies b = 250\)
Struggled to get \(c\). Enumerated answer choices (stopped at A).
