Each tile in a bag has a different integer written on it. If a tile is drawn from the bag at random, what is the probability that the number on the tile is a prime factor of n?
(1) The bag contains 10 tiles, numbered 1 through 10.
(2) The number n is prime.

For me (E),
Stat 1:
o If n = 13, probability = 0
o If n = 14, probability > 0
INSUFF
Stat 2:
o If n = 13 and the bag contains the number 13, probability > 0
o If n = 13 and the bag do not contain the number 13, probability = 0
INSUFF
Combining (1) with (2)
o If n = 13, probability = 0
o If n = 3, probability > 0
INSUFF
Stat 1:
o If n = 13, probability = 0

1st cond:since n is not defined
n can be 9 or 18(just taking these 2 nos for eg)
when n=9,prime factor= 3,so probability in this case = 1/10
when n=18 prime factor=2,3 probability in this case = 2/10
2nd cond : n is prime..so n can be 2,3,5,7,11 and so on and each prime factor can be divided by 1 and itself.since 1 is not a prime no...so for given no n(whic is prime ) there is only one facotor which is prime
hence probability = 1/total no of titles in the bag
since total no of tiles is not known...so insufficient condition
combining 1st and 2nd condition is also not sufficient because if n = 17,which is prime and it's prime factor is not given in the bag.(which has only 1 to 10 no tiles)
while for n=5 which is prime and it's prime factor 5 is given in the bag
hence choice e
