Hi Guys,

Is there a standard time frame for Early Decision and R1 interviews at the T15 schools? I know applications are usually due around October 5, but I can't find a clear answer as to when interviews happen for those two rounds.

Thanks!

Hi Sealberg

Early decision and R1 application deadlines are generally September/October. Check out the websites of individual programs you are interested in as all b-schools follow their own patterns.

In general, R1 interviews will take place from mid-October through November. Early Decision interviews take place 2-6 weeks after application submission. For instance if you apply to Columbia in mid-May (a good strategy I use to get a lot of folks in early), you will receive an interview notification one way or another either in May or June.

Good luck!

Best,
Scott

Each school has a slightly different timeline so I would take a look at each website. The general windows shared above are in the ballpark but the website will have the exact info

First, congratulations on thinking about this NOW! As now is the time to put a plan in place to get a jump on R1 for next year. Some schools have a R1 deadline in early September so that means being actively preparing through the summer so all the fun is not that far off. Each school will have slightly different timelines and you will have to wait until later in spring to get the official details for Fall 2017 applications but I would look at each school's 2016 timeline for a good clue of what to expect.
Thanks!
