Hi Bowie - thanks for writing! The deferred programs are very competitive - without your GMAT score it would be hard for me to fully assess your profile. Also, deferred candidates have exceptional collegiate extracurricular leadership experience, so the strength of your candidacy also depends on the extent of your involvement with student council.
If you don't go the deferred route, I recommend gaining 4-5 years of progressive full-time work experience and figuring out your specific career goals before applying (schools will really want to understand what you want to do post-MBA, why, and how you plan to get there). You can check out
mbaMission's Career Guides on
mbamission.com for some initial guidance.
I hope that helps a little - best of luck!

Hi, I wanted to get my current profile checked. I am not going to apply to any schools until the end of 2021 so this is more meant as an advance evaluation. This means I am also very open to suggestions about how to make my profile more outstanding or just general advice about other schools that fit my character or even other type of master studies!
Demographics
20 years old, 22 to at the time of applying.
Female
From the Netherlands
Education
I got an associate degree as para-veterinary (2014-2018) with a 4.0 GPA (we only took exams in Dutch, English and Calculations)
Currently I'm studying Business Administrations as Bachelor at the top private Business School of my country. I have a 4.0GPA which I'm trying to keep steady and graduate CumLaude (but of course I still got 1,5 year to go)
GMAT
I have not taken the GMAT as of yet, but I think I can definitely score above the 700+ with my hopes of course being a 750+. I still have some time left so it is not my greatest cause of concern.
Work experience
I have worked at a Real Estate place since the summer of 2018 and I'm currently still working here. (21 months). Not counting as a full-time job
I am working as tutor at an official tutoring school for middel/high school kids since september 2019. I tutor mostly in English and Economics.
And at the moment i' am working on my own little start up company. It focus mostly around a program to get kids more motivated for school. When it officially takes off is still unknown at the moment.
I would have started with an abroad, 3 month long, internship starting this May. Unfortunately this is cancelled because of Covid-19 so I will probably still do this internship in the summer of 2021. I will also do a 6 month long internship starting in the fall of 2021, I probably do this in my home country because it falls right before my graduation.
Extracurricular activities (highlight notable undergraduate and post-undergraduate ones):
I am in the Student Council of my current school
I was chosen to be Student Guide at my previous school (where I got my associate degree) and did this in my last two years.
I did multiple internships and volunteer work at vet clinics and animal shelters over the years.
athletic achievements
I don't know if they look at this so much when getting a master as they do when trying to enter college but:
I am an avid horse rider, and got multiple Dutch titles at the Dutch Youth Championships over the years + Got claimed all around Youth Rider at the 2017 Championships. I was also was part of the Dutch team for the YouthCup in 2016.
Now a days I am still riding and doing some competitions but I am more into riding young horses now. I train them and bring them onto competitions for other people for a short while.
Post-MBA goals
One of my talents is seeing things with a broad view, So my dream after getting my MBA is come into companies that are either Start Ups or in trouble and give my take on it. When I walk into a company I don't think: 'what a nice interior' or something along those lines. No I walk in and think: 'this is really nice but what if they change.... the logo for example, or where the front desk is, or the whole organizational structure'. I think getting an MBA gives me the right tools to analize companies and find the right solution to get them to a higher level.
Target schools
I want to try for the Differed programs at some of the following schools:
HBS
GSB
Penn
MIT
But like I said, I am pretty open to other suggestions if it doesn't fit my profile!
Last piece of information
I am Dyslectic (I don't know if this something I should necessarily mention in my application later, but I'm justing telling everything here)
Both my parents only received their High school diploma, I will be the first of the family (so far as we know) to try out for university
I got my C2 English diploma from Anglia in 2017, haven't done the TOELFL yet
Thank you in advance!
