Economist vs Bloomberg

Question

Hello club

I am new to the platform can someone throw some light on how Economist or Bloomberg would be for verbal preparation. 
Also, Do both of them have same or different content?

The courses have different content. Bloomberg is actually the content of what the Economist course used to be and the new Economist course is new content. We are working on moving the reviews we had for the Economist course to Bloomberg. It is a manual slow process though...

I believe both have interesting innovative pricing options.

Consider Trial classes first and then Decide.

From your post - and the fact that you're only asking about Verbal prep - it's not clear whether you are just beginning your studies or you have put in some significant study time already. When it comes to training for the GMAT, there are lots of different study materials that you might choose to use, so before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied so far? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) Have you taken any practice CATs/mocks yet? On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Here are the answers to the questions, looking forward some help from you.

Studies:

1) I've been studying for around two to three weeks as of today. I can dedicate around 8+ hours a day.
2) I am using Manhattan study guides currently to improve my verbal foundations, and I'm preparing from official guides (2018 and wiley ebook 2021)
3) Yes, I took an official mock recently on sept 13 and scored a devastating 490 with a split of Q46 and V13

Goals:

4) My overall goal score is to cross 700
5) I have scheduled my exam on October 15th 2020
6) I'm a fresh graduate and I'm planning to apply for MIM program. I've haven't yet decided of the schools to apply for.

Hi varunsan97,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you have been studying for just 2-3 weeks, then you should not expect to have mastered any Verbal question types just yet. In addition, raising a 490 to the point that you can consistently score 700+ will likely require at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study - and you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. Your current Test Date is just 3.5 weeks away though, so you might want to consider pushing back that Test Date so that you give yourself the time to properly hone all of the necessary skills to earn that higher Score.

1) Since you do not have any particular Schools in mind yet, are you planning to apply in the near future (sometime in the next 6 months) or later on (a year or later from now)?
2) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
