Hi, I have been waitlisted for Cornell and want to know how was your experience with the waitlist. Please help me out!
Getting waitlisted isn’t a dead end for some, it’s a speed bump on your MBA journey! That “maybe” can be changed into a “yes” by showing persistence and smart strategy. Stay proactive! First, reaffirm your commitment to Johnson with a well-crafted letter highlighting why it's your top choice. If possible, address any weaknesses, whether it's a lower GMAT score, lack of quantitative coursework, or limited leadership experience by taking action, like enrolling in relevant classes or stepping up at work. If the school allows, an additional recommendation from someone who can vouch for your recent growth can add value. Also, keep in touch with the admissions team (without overdoing it!) by updating them on professional milestones or new achievements. Engaging with the Cornell community, attending events, networking with alumni and current students can be helpful.
Good luck
