hi all! once of my recommenders submitted his rec and noticed an error. is there any way to have them make an edit? the error is pretty serious — says my startup was acquired which it wasn’t. any ideas what to do or if it’s possible to edit? thanks!

The only thing that can be done now is ask your recommender to send an email to the admission committee to consider the new document stating what has been changed and provide some sort of justification for the same.
I don't think there is a way to edit the recommendation form now.
You can do one of my least favourites: If you have not submitted the application yet, delete his/her name from the application portal and then add the information again. It may trigger a new link. Note: I have never tried this and would be very cautious to do so.
Yikes..better that the mistake came from him and not you misrepresenting thing. If he has not already done so, he should certainly submit a note to admissions as an FYI. They will make a note of things of this and it should not negatively impact your application _________________
