EMBA Admissions: Impact of a Bad Economy

There are many murmurings indicating that the top EMBA programs are expecting a very competitive admissions year. The anticipated US recession is one big reason why some top business schools might be predicting an intense admissions season in 2022-2023, with a large number of applicants. Whenever the economy sinks, people worry about job security (or lose their jobs) and try to get enrolled in school so they won’t have a gap on their resumes. In light of a potential application season with intense competition, you should prepare your application exceedingly well. Make sure your essays and recommendations are truly outstanding.

The Wharton 2022-2023 deadlines are:

Round 1
Application Deadline: Wed., October 12, 2022 (11:59 p.m.*)
Interview Invitations: Wed., November 16, 2022
Decisions Released: Wed., December 21, 2022

Round 2
Application Deadline: Wed., January 18, 2023 (11:59 p.m.*)
Interview Invitations: Wed., February 22, 2023
Decisions Released: Wed., March 22, 2023

*PST for San Francisco applicants. EST for Philadelphia applicants. Your application must be complete by the deadline in order for a decision to be released on time.
