EMBA: Are Your Admissions Odds Hurt if You're a Reapplicant?Many people wonder if they will be hurt in the admissions process because they are reapplying to a school from which they were previously rejected. If you are a reapplicant, does this status harm your chances of admissions success?
Being a reapplicant should not inherently harm your chances of admission IF you address the core weaknesses of your prior application. So, be sure to get a deep, accurate understanding of what challenges you need to address. Sometimes, the admissions committee may offer feedback if you request feedback. If they take the time to provide feedback to you, you should take active steps to address their feedback. Seeking guidance from a seasoned admissions consultant with extensive experience with EMBA or MBA admissions can also provide valuable insights into how you can improve your application and profile.
So, don’t worry that the admissions committee will weigh your status as a reapplicant against you. If anything, your willingness to try again is interpreted positively, as a sign of determination, resilience, and deep desire to join their program. If you fix the problems in your prior application, the admissions committee should look at your reapplication with fresh eyes.
