how did you get 3.5 +18?
divyadna
E and R be the money in Emma's and Robert's piggy banks respectively.
E=R+12
R+R+12=x
When R+12/2 is moved into Robert's bank and 'x' cents are added into Robert's bank, Robert will have R+(R/2+12/2)+2R+12= 3.5R+18
= -21+18+7x/4
Ans option C

Posted from my mobile device
R+(R/2+12/2)+2R+12 => R+R/2+2R+12/2+12 = 1R + 0.5R + 2R + 6 + 12 = 3.5R + 18
