Hi,
Please correct me as I'm not sure about this.
At the test centre, Before exam: Select 3 schools that will receive today's score.
At the test centre, After exam: Confirm sending results (opportunity to cancel?).
Q1. Can you see the result before deciding whether to cancel or send the result?
Q2. If you cancel the result, is the score recorded at the GMAT HQ and accessed by the school anyway?

If you cancel your score, it will never be calculated and the test will be recorded as canceled. As for preventing schools from seeing your score, there's no point. If you don't apply, they'll never look at the score, and if you apply later with a better score, they will see all of your scores &/or cancellations anyway.
