Hello all,
I am in the process of filling out my applications for many R2 deadlines. Many applications ask for you to enter unofficial tests scores, along with a PDF from the test provider showing all your scores (ETS for GRE or GMAC for GMAT).
My question comes along with what scores should you enter on the application, if you took an exam more than once? For instance, I took the GRE twice, with splitter scores - I scored better on quantitative on one test, but better verbal/writing on another. Should I just report my best overall from one test date in the application OR should I report my best scores, from each test, on the application for each box?
The applications ask for the following:
-The date you took the GRE, the date you plan to re-take or the date you have retaken it
-Verbal score and percentile
-Quantitative score and percentile
-Writing score and percentile
Since the entry boxes only allow numbers, I am not able to write-in which test date each score came from.
I would assume that when the applications ask for the date you took the GRE, the date you enter there, you should report the scores from that date. Does it even matter, as the PDF from ETS I provide will allow the admissions committee to see every score anyway? I may be overthinking this, but I really want the ad-coms to see my best scores on the application itself, as my best scores from each section are significantly more competitive, versus than viewing them separately, but I don't want ad-coms to think I am dishonest or intentionally meaning to slip one past them. I am addressing my splitter scores in the optional essay anyways, detailing my overall scores anyways so I may be covered already.
Has anyone experienced this and can shed light on a best approach?
Thank you!
