This post may be better suited for one the admission consultant forums but I am hoping a few of you might be in a similar position or be able to help me with the best way to approach the application process.
A brief summary of me:
I went to work for a quick service restaurant franchisee out of undergrad to learn the business and become a franchisee myself. I now own a franchise, I am doing very well, but I am bored. I am considering business school because my experience is so limited. My only experience to date is restaurants and that is simply not holding my interest. I want to explore and be exposed to different opportunities/businesses/careers and bschool seems like the best way to do that. I get the feeling that I need to have a stated interest in an industry to make my application compelling and that an interest in ent. and exploring new industries is not a valid plan.
My question is this...How should I approach the application process in regards to goals/plans? Can I state that I am interested in ent. and will be using bschool to not only prepare me but lead me to my next venture? Or do I need to say that I want to go into Consulting or Real Estate and that I plan to venture off on my own after a few years?
