No trick or tool or pill can significantly boost your score. No course or book can significantly boost your score unless you put in the effort.

The goal is not to classify all your errors. The goal is not to cherish every single mistake you made since the first grade. Why don’t they use error logs in middle school or high school university? Shouldn’t they have an error log for our lives? This way we can keep track of every single mistake was made in our lives. That sounds amazingly exciting., right? 😂😂😂.

Here’s the thing, the purpose of the error log is to keep track of your current errors, and the ones you’re struggling with. For example, if you had a slight issue with prime numbers for assumptions, and you don’t have the problem anymore, then you don’t need to carry all that junk with you. What are you really gonna do with it? It’ll only distract you. The idea is to help you review mistakes you’ve recently made and are currently working on. There is some value in going back a few weeks ago or a month ago for specific questions, you struggled with the topics you struggled with, but I don’t think you need to have loads of history and so it will be pretty dumb and stupid to go back and categorize every single mistake. The goal is not to categorize old mistakes, the goal is to prevent you from making mistakes today.

the biggest issue is when I want to review the problems in the log after couple of days, I cannot do that without having the OG book nearby.

Consider checking out the online Wiley version of the Official Guide. You can review, bookmark, and write notes for specific questions. All the best with your prep. Some quick tips on the gmatknight website you may find helpful.

Thanks for the reply. I already have the app but is there anyway that I can literally look up the problem numbers via the app? the app seems to create a quiz for you based on a category you select. but the best to do when you review an error log is just go back and see the question. since carrying the huge book is inefficient, is there a way the app could help by just looking up the specific problem. I have been able to mark the problem or flag it after I see it in a quiz. but I am not sure how I can just find it without this quiz feature.
thanks!

bb that was helpful thanks!
well ya speaking about problems completed less than a month ago .. shall I maintain a manual or excel log? on one side manual will help absorbing the takeaways better, on the other side analyzing the log through excel is what shows where your weaknesses are.
