Greetings-
I have created a "
error log" tool in Excel that I think will benefit many people. I have heard over and over again that this is the single best tool one can have as they go through thousands of questions. You can start to see a pattern and focus your attention on those problem areas. I, like most, tend to always gravitate into the areas I am good at to build my self-confidence but at the end of the day that will not get me the 700+ score I desire. It's hard to focus on the problem areas and rather overwhelming but the
error log is the best way to tackle these problems and recognize patterns.
I have gone through hundreds if not thousands of problems but until I started to use this error tool I never focused or documented my performance. I have incorporated many elements into the spreadsheet from members of the gmatclub and used and built on tools from the "
error log for active members" forum.
The tool allows you to log the following:
-Test Book, Question Category, Question Sub category, Question number, your answer, correct answer, decision process and explanation (I built these drop-down menu format)
-Also, I inserted the spreadsheets from the "
error log active forum" that helps track test scores to better identify your errors in a timed environment
I am more than willing to share and distribute, but can't seem to find a way to attach the document. I like most on this site have gained a great deal of information from this site and I'm just trying to give something in return.
