Tbh with both will be very complicated.... You need perfect spainish and French to find a job in both... Check the UK or Netherlands tbh... It is way easier there... Good luck

Hey! Please help me choose which B-School to pick.

I am an Indian student. I aim to break into a strategy role at FMCG (short -term), and to start my own FMCG business (long-term). I don't know either of French or Spanish but I am willing to learn either. The most important thing to me is ROI, and staying back in Europe after my degree. I'm leaning towards EDHEC for this very reason. This is my thought process -

ESADE pros-

Amazing reputation, amazing curriculum, I love Barcelona.Focus on consulting and entrepreneurship.

ESADE cons-

Course is only 1 year long, not enough time to learn Spanish.

Indian alumni said that the 1 year masters students struggled to find jobs afterwards.

EDHEC pros-

Very good structure, especially with the 1 year internship included in the program. (I don't have work ex)

3 years should be more than enough for me to get to atleast B2 level French.

EDHEC cons-

Lots of career clubs are closed off to non french speakers, not the best business school in France, strategy roles are difficult to break into for non french speakers.

I also got waitlisted at imperial, is EDHEC going to be that much of a downgrade?

Hello Anonymous#123,

Thanks for writing in.

ESADE has great brand value but the tough job hunt process post graduation is a fairly known fact; that said, the job hunt is not going to be easy post EDHEC as well (it might be slightly simpler, though).

Frankly speaking, you will not have a correct decision here because as an international student, you will face risks and challenges in most geographies; one needs to just take those risks.

We do not see too much of a downside with regard to the career clubs being closed and the internship is a major positive; therefore, EDHEC won't be a bad decision at all.

Hope this helps.

All the best!
