Hi all,
I have the choice between the Master in Management from ESADE, LBS, and INSEAD.
My objectives are to get either into MBB in Europe/Emerging Countries or into development banks such as the World Bank or the European Investment Bank. On the long run, I intend to fund my own start-up
For the time I am leaning more towards ESADE for several points:
- The CEMS program will enable me to go to another great university (LSE, Cornell, St Gallen, Bocconi, CBS, RMS, HKUST, etc.)
- The 2-year program seems to be more adapted to the current recession
- I do not want to work in London and the job market seems to be in a really bad shape right now with the Brexit and Coronavirus.
- I could learn Spanish and open myself to the South American market.
- The quality of life seems to be way better in Barcelona than in London or Fontainebleau when you are a 23 years old student or not rich.
- As I already speak french, german, and english it would be a more international experience for me.
- Most of INSEAD and LBS alumni where MBA students, so they might not be that easy to approach.
- It is INSEAD MiM's first year so it is hard to know how employers will react to it.
However, LBS and INSEAD have a way better international reputation than ESADE has. Moreover, the number of alumni in MBB that come from LBS and INSEAD is very impressive so I am not sure that my choice is smart.
I know the school reputation will follow you your whole career so I don't want to make the wrong choice. Indeed it is not easy to refuse LBS and INSEAD.
Please be critical of what I am saying. I need advice from more experienced people to take a step back.
