** Especially is an adjective that is used to underscore the importance of something.
ex:
It is especially important to get eight or more hours of sleep the night before a big test.
Protein bars are a great snack, especially when one is on the Atkins diet.
** Specially is an adjective used to indicate the uniqueness of something or uniquely targeting a particular thing. Specially has a somewhat festive and celebratory connotation and is most often used in the context of special occasions.
ex:
This car seat was specially designed to support exceedingly wide posteriors.
I picked the tux that was decorated specially for this occasion.
A linguistic note here: "specifically" is typically used instead of "specially" in common spoken and written word.
