I took my first official test and got a 680...
I have been studying for about 3 months (about 3-5 hours a day) and plan to take the test again in two and a half weeks. My goal is to get a 700+ but preferably a 730+ for the program I am interested in. I'm trying to apply during the first round of applications by Sept 15, but am willing to apply later with a stronger score if I have to retake multiple times.
Materials I have used: 2019 Guidebooks for practice questions, Manhattan Quant, Manhattan Advanced Quant, Manhattan Verbal, SC Grail, GMAT Ninja Videos for Verbal. I am now starting an old version of the Powerscore CR. Mainly focused on SC and CR, since RC was usually strongest for verbal...
Here are my results from previous CATS
700 Q: 49 V: 35
710 Q: 49 V: 38
710 Q: 49 V: 38
740 Q: 50 V: 40
I am much stronger in quant, 49-50 consistently, but my verbal had been steadily improving from 35 to 40 in my last test. I was usually fairly strong in RC, but seemed to have tanked on the actual exam. I struggled with SC and CR, but have put in a lot of time with SC to improve. I was a little disappointed with my quant score as well since it was slightly lower than what I had been scoring.
I would really appreciate any suggestions of what to focus on in the next few weeks!
