Hi bharathitman,

With a January 15th application deadline, you have plenty of time to continue to study and improve. Your initial studies were 'book heavy', and that might be an issue. Many Test Takers who study in that way end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. Since you haven't spent a lot of time on your studies, it's not clear if that has actually happened to you or not - so you can continue to study for the next few weeks as you see fit and measure your progress. If your scores don't improve, then you'll likely need to change your routine and invest in some new, non-book study materials. However you choose to proceed though, you really should NOT take CATs as frequently as you took them before. As a general rule, you should plan to take 1 FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections), in a realistic fashion, no more than once per week.

If you have any additional questions, then feel free to contact me directly.

I will continue to study sentence correction, critical reasoning and do a thorough review of quant basics over the next 3 weeks and see where I stand. You are right, taking 4 mocks in a week did not me help me at all. Thanks for your advice!

Hi Rich,

Just a quick question. My ESR score report has a discrepancy in the Verbal Section performance. The data provided for the last quarter performance (33-41) in the Percent Correct column chart and Performance Over Time pie chart do not match. Should I follow this up with GMAC?

Hi bharathitman,

Yes, I would contact GMAC about the issues with your score report. You're in something of an interesting position - usually a V36 means that there's no big 'weak area' in the Test Taker's performance, but SC is clearly a subject that you need to work on (and could pick up some significant points in). Like every other major subject area in the GMAT, SCs are built on 'rules' and patterns and there are Tactics that you can learn to score higher in this category. If you can invest the necessary time, then the score increase could be considerable.

Thanks Rich! The score report issue is more of a PDF issue, there are no discrepancies in the web page (link), the discrepancy only pops up when I download it as a PDF. I have informed GMAC, will leave it at that
