Dear All,
The ESSEc Business School in France has recently moved from the grand ecole mba programs to a more traditional 1 yr Global MBA. They have renamed their old two year program to a MSC in Management.
The Global MBA program has been designed for mid management people with over 5 years of experience and a high level of managerial work. The global mba has been modeled on the likes of INSEAD and LBS and looks to be in the top 5 one year MBA programs in Europe.
The first batch is starting in fall 2011, I have an admit for the same, based on my application last yr to the previous grand ecole program.
Just wondering what the members of the gmatclub think about this change, the program itself and who all are applying.

Well, I know ESSEC is one of the most renowned business schools in Europe, but I wonder why they switched to an M.Sc?

The previous degree did not require prior work experience. Hence you have some students straight from undergrad college. Changing it to a M.Sc. adjusts the element of young students vs MBA for mid career professionals.
