Currently I'm in the 520-530 range, which Bunuel lessons would be best to know inside and out.

Veritas#1 (510 Q28/V27)
MGMAT#1 (530 Q32/V32)
Veritas#2 (520 Q32/V30)

I'm almost done with the OG book(still working on CR/RC), I'm going to begin the OG Quant/Verbal review books soon.

I've been studying for 2 months and I have a 3.17.18 test date.

Thanks!

Hi michaelpalomares00,

GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, your 3 CAT score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (about 520 +/- a few points). To score a lot higher than this, you'll likely have to make improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) Have you used any study materials besides the OG?
2) When you took your CATs, did you take the ENTIRE CAT (with the Essay and IR sections)?

Goals:
3) What is your goal score?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,

1) I used Kaplan and found the questions were very different and now I’m using the OG 12th and just ordered the ‘18 OG review books.

2) I only did the Quant and Verbal sections.

Goals:

3) 670-690+ on my test date 3/17/18.

4 & 5) I’m applying to Cornell by R3 4/4/2018. I’ll apply through the Consortium next fall since I’m URM if I’m denied this spring.

5) Cornell, NYU, or their east coast schools with respectable NY/MA placements in my industry.

Thanks Rich!

Hi michaelpalomares00,

Your current Test Date is about 2.5 months away - and you could potentially improve a great deal during that time. However, your Goal Score is essentially a 150+ point improvement - and all of that training would likely take at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study (and could take longer if you've developed any 'bad habits' during these last 2 months of study). Given your needs, I think that you would likely find it beneficial to invest in a GMAT Course of some kind (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led) and work through a more formal Study Plan.

1) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

I believe best strategy would be to identify your weak areas from mocks (Manhattan does a good job of providing this on platter for you)
Then move from easy to hard in Bunuel signature for the topics you identified above.

You can also use GC tests to practice in QUIZ mode for your weak areas. They provide amazing insights!

Hope this helps!
