Stern is hosting various dinners in different cities, where local alums meet up for dinner with admitted students.
So I'll be heading to one of these, and I'm wondering if there's like four alums and six admitted students or whatever it is, at the end of the night will we all just throw down like ten credit cards or do you think the school somehow picks up the tab or maybe the alums do? Just wondering what to expect.

Sometimes alumni pay (either from their own alumni club funds or from school funds) and sometimes everyone pays their own. It's typically made clear in the invitations if they expect you to pay or not.
I think you can just offer to pay your share and see what happens. It's a fail-safe strategy.
