Hello GMAT Club,

I hoping to get your opinion on my profile and chances of being admitted into the following master programs:

MBF - St. Gallen University
Msc Finance - Bocconi University
Msc Financial Markets - EDHEC Business School
Msc Financial Markets and Investments - Skema Business School
Msc Finance - Esade Business School
Msc Finance and Investments Advanced - RSM

Here is my profile:

Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from American university
GPA: 3.89/4.0 GMAT: 740
4 months of full-time employment at one of the big four
1 year full-time experience in Equity Research
Two other part-time, non-finance related professional experiences totaling 2 years
1 leadership position in student-run organization
1 year study abroad program to the US before pursuing bachelor’s degree

Probably worth mentioning I am native of South America. Fluent in Portuguese and English.

What are my chances? What do you think about the programs that I listed?

In my opinion, you have too much work experience for the schools you mentioned, I think Bocconi Msc finance has avg work ex of 6 months.
maybe wait for a year or two and apply for MBA.

In my opinion, you have too much work experience for the schools you mentioned, I think Bocconi Msc finance has avg work ex of 6 months.

Thank you for sharing your opinion! I have already submitted my applications, so at this point I just hope having too much work experience won’t hurt me. In fact, only 16 months of my work experience is Finance related. The remaining months of employment were just to help me pay for my studies, concerning administrative and non-finance related activities. If rejected, working for a little longer and pursuing an MBA wouldn’t be a bad idea.
