Hi to all!
i recently scored 680 on the 1st (free) test.i scored 47/60 and 73% percentile(correct 62%) in quantitative and 37/60 81%percentile (66% correct)!
i am planning to seat for the real gmat on 16th of august!My target is whatever score above 600!My question is whether i can score that high on the real test as i did on veritas!Furthermore, other scores in gmatprep 640 47 scaled score in quantitative and 31 in verbal ,powerprep test1 590 49 scaled score in quanitative(84%) and 26 scaled score on verbal (40%), 640 on test2 44 scaled score(78%) and 33 scaled score (67%)!I have also taken gmat 800score series and scored 530,590,500,700,620....i am troubled by the huge range and sd of my scores!
i have read your analysis of A-value and B-value in the article about evaluating the veritas tests and i understood what you mean but the real question is which is the score i can trust most?

A few thoughts on trusting scores:
-GMAT Prep is always going to be the most accurate, so for pure score prediction trust those a whole lot more than any other.
-Keep in mind that you're probably never as good as your best practice test score or as bad as your worst - pay attention more to the general range of scores and to what you can learn from the experience of each practice test. And I don't mean this at all as a cop-out for trying to figure out which scores will predict your performance best - in practice WHY your score is what it is is a whole lot more helpful than WHAT it is. The "why" helps you determine how to improve your overall performance.
-We've been pretty happy with any of the studies we've run on our own score validity, but we also know that there's certainly a margin for error in there (as with any practice tests). I'm confident that our tests give an authentic experience and a good-but-not-perfect take on score prediction.
