Choice Schools: LBS, LSE, Imperial, Warwick, Bocconi, Wbs
Course: MSc Finance
GPA: 7.02 CGPA
GRE: 337 (Q170,V167)

Undergrad: Symbiosis (2020)

How are my chances looking? Thanks

Hey billboy123,
I must mention here you have a pretty good profile.

Your GPA is pretty decent
Your GRE scores are more than enough
The only parameter where you lack is your work experience

As you mentioned, you want to pursue Mfin. Almost every MFin school requires minimum years of work experience, preferable in the finance sector.
But don’t worry, you can totally make up for it.
As there is more than one factor that the adcoms look for.
For starters, I would recommend you volunteer and start working with an NGO.
This will definitely shine in your resume.
Secondly, you haven’t mentioned any of your extracurricular activities. Make sure to include it in your SOP that can be used as well to compensate for your work experience.

Your target schools are pretty decent. With your GRE and GPA I would also recommend you to apply to MIT(Sloan), HEC Paris, ESSEC and UCLA.

If you would like to know more about how you should draft your application to compensate for your insufficient work experience, we would be happy to help you.

We have helped over 5000 students get admit into their dream schools.

Hi billboy123 , targeting MSc Finance in the pedigree of schools such as LBS, LSE, Imperial would require you to demonstrate a strong academic appreciation of this domain. While your GRE and GPA reflect fairly on your academic goals, deeper insights into supplemental courses you may have taken in undergrad, internships, projects and reading pursuits will be pivotal in determining your fate for MSc finance.

You seem to be lacking in Extra Curriculars. You should refer to my writeup on how to bring forth a balanced persona in your application, deeply introspecting on any community or diversity initiatives you may have taken previously.

You bring a solid overall profile to the table. Even with your stats, LBS and LSE will be tough since you are coming from a competitive demographic. That's more a reflection of the randomness that comes with being a male Indian candidate than it does the strength of your bakcground. Still, you should apply along with these other European programs so you gain admission to at least one and, potentially, have options.
