I am Male, Indian, 24 years ( 25 this July).
Planning to start in 2016 ( Full-time) and would love to hear some candid feedback and advice. What are the individual probabilities of my preferable admits (mentioned below).
Have <= 2 years work ex (WE) and Currently working in Mining & Metals industry with a giant London based group. Roles included field work ranging from shaft sinking operations , Underground operations and systems management and presently tasked with erection and commissioning of a first-of-its-kind project in Asia (first in INDIA ) . Visited USA regarding this project for a company sponsored advance technical training early last year.
Undergraduate after qualifying JEE and passed out as Mining Engg from one of India's premier institute with flying colors [ 8/10 GPA (absolute grading) ~ On 4.0 scale, I think that would convert to 3.7-3.8]
Gave 2 rounds of GMAT with scores as (740 , 720 ) simultaneously in the last 2 months of 2014.
Associated with charity works usually with special focus on working for betterment of slum children during college days.
Fond of playing Jazz drums and Synthesizer.
Awarded with various academic performance awards during school days. 100% marks during High School board examinations.
Did industry-valued during my interns and as credited projects of semesters.
Also did a number of industrial trainings.
I am targeting the Top b - schools with my personal inclination towards finance as major. List includes (W/S/B/LBS/Sloan/UCB)
. ISB is as usual on the radar, being an Indian applicant.
Please give me some candid opinion regarding my candidacy. Also, I have somewhat gone through Critical Square's website and can have it as my associate during the B-school
app process.
