Do we need to apply for scholarships separately? or are they factored in while appying.

Moist schools - the scholarships are automatic, or part of the application. in some schools, separately ...

Hi Shimri, good morning. Indian Male, Econ Graduate (3 years UG Degree from the Rank 1 University in India). Undergrad Percentage - Subpar according to university standards but in my class of 120 I was in top 15. VP Business Development at AIESEC’s Delhi Chapter (AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural internships, and global volunteer exchange experiences. The organization focuses on empowering young people to make a progressive social impact). Right after graduation I joined EY India in their consulting arm as an analyst and worked in projects with Fortune 100 companies across India for 1 year. Then worked with boutique consulting firm directly under the CEO and help setup the Business Intelligence practice to serve clients across Middle East for an year. Then was handpicked by IHS Markit and now work on cloud platforms, data virtualization and lead a team of analysts to create and deliver insights using data analytics. Total work ex - 5 years at Matriculation. GMAT : 710 (Retaking and expecting 740). Also enrolled at a University to complete a distance masters degree to get over the hump of 16 years of formal education. Have been actively participating in community service initiatives by running a sports academy in conjunction with a local school to provide advice and resources to the underprivileged kids of industrial labor. Cant apply in R1 because I am waiting to get my marksheet of the exams I took for my masters Degree. My post mba goals revolve around coming back to Big 4 consulting in their digital and tech transformation and cloud implementation consulting services. Current target schools - Mccombs, Marshall, Goizueta, Georgetown, Tepper, Foster. Does everything hinge on the gmat improvement?

Do I have a shot in Rotman? Or McMaster? Trying to keep it to top or middle tier schools only.

Also which colleges in US can I target for a MFin
I think your MBA chances are low, in any school, due to limited length of career experience
you can target ANY MFin or MiF degree with a good GMAT , good undergrad, and reasonable career!

SO, EU has AMAZING MiFs (like LBS, or LSE) in the US you can go for any program (Upenn, MIT, Austin and many many more) and Canada any school, although your profile seems a bit young for an MBA!
if you want some MiF admissions assistance, we have a MiF specialist, so once you have your GMAT score, feel free to send me your GMAT and CV to shimriw@ARINGO.com and we can take it from there

I am on the younger side. Would that be detrimental?

For now, I am limiting only to US and Canada as I have family in the area. But I’ll definitely send you a mail when I’m done with my GMAT.

And also keep your question brief by putting only very related information in it.

I think that with a Stellar application, you have a chance even with the 710 at these schools (I have had Indian males get into Emory and Foster with a 690... and you seem to have a better profile than them) STILL, a higher GMAT will help your chances
Both for acceptance and for a scholarship...

if you want to work together on some kick-ass application, work on the GMAT, and then send me your CV and new GMAT score to shimriw@ARINGO.com

GOOD LUCK!

Mccombs and USC’s chances are lower - for any candidate, than Emory, Tepper and Foster
a higher GMAT (and a good application) will help your chances...

Hi Shimri do you have any experience with clients who have 3 years of Undergraduate education from India? Also how intense is the impact when we go from R1 to R2?

There is no problem with a 3-year undergrad degree!

R1 vs R2
In theory, R1 is always better. The chances might be slightly higher for both acceptance and scholarships, and even if they were the same, R1 is better, because you want to know the answers by November, in case you need to apply to some backup options as well.

BUT R2 with a better application or 20+ points in the GMAT ALWAYS beats R1

= only apply when you are ready. but then apply as soon as possible
