how would folks rate the scholarship availability from each place?

EMBA scholarships are rare and small. Executive programs are for-profit programs, so getting a scholarship is like getting a discount on the product that you’re buying and there has to be a really good reason for them to give you a discount. Most of the full-time programs are nonprofit and that makes them focus more on education and academics, rather than maximizing enrollment. Executive programs are different animals and admissions team is more like a sales support team rather than a traditional admissions team.

I think if you are a very impressive individual who will make a huge contribution to the program, they may give you a 25% scholarship

great way to think about this, appreciate putting it into context for me.

So if Im 34 male and want to move into PM like roles in tech using my MBA (usually through a summer internship), but dont want to go into debt for it, any programs you'd recommend? I was looking at Stanford, UWash, Haas EWMBA

Maybe NYU Columbia (live in NJ) or NWern

It's a tricky situation because as you note, the summer internship can be key. What current industry are you in now? Are you in tech?

You might want to also look at Cornell's Tech MBA. They have a ton of programs and options.

Have you considered non-MBA master's degree programs?

very non trad background started in defense ...and transitioning out was hard...got a no name masters but t10 undergrad so i could tranistion. i am in a itier 3 consulting firm (cap/deloitte) but for a MAANG client.

I looked at stanford's masters in managmeent but it requires 3 recommendations if you do the offocial masters, and i think scpd requires you to take courses if you want to the ebackdoor version? And taking courses doesn't gurantee admission? Also my masters is in a technical subject (data science) and outside of masters in management no other tracks have a more business or managmeent oriented track

Cornell hardly ranks in poets and quants metrics for bay area recruiting

I would love to be of help, but I think this is kind of the limit of where my expertise sits.

You really should get in touch with our staff for a free consultation. It sounds like you have done a lot research and a fair number of requirements to make this all work.

It's way easier for us to better understand your situation and advise on a list of programs. Here is the link:

We look forward to hearing form you,
