I go with B..

Lijo - I did not understand the explaination you gave for ruling out B. Could you please re-phrase it ?

Let me give it a shot

Students are members of LeaderShip program only after they graduate within four years, so this is the effect of graduating within four years and not the cause

Sorry about premature reply.
THinking hard, seems like A to me.

30% of 11 = 113

So entering = 100, in May 2003 there were 13 students more.

Clearly A.

Dear Raja,
The question states that "Exactly half of those graduating students are members of Leadership Program. Students who do not graduate within four years are disqualified from participation in Leadership Program"
It is never said that they are the only members in the leadership program. There may be other students too, the number of whom is uncertain. So it can not be clearly and absolutely the case that they have a higher likelyhood of graduating.

Exactly 68% of each first-year class at the University of Akate graduates within four years of enrollment. Exactly half of those graduating students are members of Leadership Program. Students who do not graduate within four years are disqualified from participation in Leadership Program. In May 2003, 30% of the students who graduated were in Leadership.

Which of the following is a valid deduction based on the above information?

(A) The May 2003 graduating class had more students than it did in its first year at the University of Akate.
(B) Leadership students are overall more likely to graduate within four years than non-Leadership students.
(C) Thirty-two percent of the senior class in May 2003 did not graduate.
(D) Thirty-eight percent of the May 2003 senior class was not in Leadership.
(E) Students who graduate within four years and are members of Leadership have better chances of being accepted into graduate school.

These questions dont appear to be GMATtty?? What is the source of this question? This appears to be more an LSAT type of question, no?

Should we be prepping for questions like this?

OE please. D is a straight forward answer, but the use of Exactly
still confuses me.
