I feel you, I suffered from this too... Here are a few things that helped me:

1. Understand deeply that you are not your GMAT score. It's only a measure of how much you practice minus the level of anxiety.
2. You can calculate how many points your anxiety "cost" you, and prepare until your mock scores compensate (=bring you to the score you aimed for)
3. Try breathing exercises. For example, a technique called ‘The Physiological Sigh’ can help improve your feeling quickly.
4. Even if you get a lower score, it's only part of your application. Not the end of the world. See my recent blog post. https://www.gsbcoach.com/post/stanford-you-and-your-gmat-score

I hope this helps! Good luck!!!

Hi MartyTargetTestPrep
GSBCoach[/quote]

Thanks for the kind words.

I appeared for another mock over the weekend (GMAC Mock 4). I scored a v 38. I took the advise above and could maintain calm. But now I'm facing another issue. I got 11 incorrect answers and out of that 3 incorrect answers were in the 1st 18 questions and the remaining in the next 18 questions.

I started experiencing brain fog and panic again in the second half as I was way behind schedule time. I had to solve 11 questions and the timer just showed final 10 mins.

How do i improve my timing without taking a hit on accuracy. I'm worried due to speed I might miss out on accuracy.

In the mock I faced quite a few repeat questions and I'm worried that my mock score might not be representative of my verbal score.

Thanks again
