Hi all,
Just a quick question.. most if not all top mba programs have an exchange with other schools. so for example if you are at kellogg you can exchange with NUS.
My question is, can an exchange help you find a job? for example, would an exchange to a college in singapore help you get a job there?

It could, but it is going to be hard work (plus it takes you away from your 'core' school recruiting for that semester). I think most people doing exchanges hope to have a job wrapped up by then. If you prepare well for the few months you are there you might be able to do it. I would advise reaching out a lot to alumni and companies in advance, being aware of their visa requirements, considering linguistic requirements etc. As you aren't there for the full two years it will be more challenging to prove it is what you were always targeting.
On the flipside, companies like Samsung are recruiting US schools heavily now for jobs in Korea, banks recruit for asia a lot, or used to before everything went a bit south. So you might have some opportunities at your base school as well if that is what you are looking for.
