I got accepted into the Wharton Executive MBA global cohort and also MIT sloan. I have 19 yrs of work ex, a strong tech background and have recently in the last couple of years, pivoted to Product and Marketing. I am based in Bangalore India.
Wharton has always been my dream school - their EMBA is the undiluted version. Strong brand name. The global cohort means more online classes and travel up to 8 times over a 20 month course. However, they don't offer an OPT which means there is no option to work in the US post EMBA.
MIT Sloan - Good brand name. Travel to the US every 2-3 weeks. The course is STEM certified which means I do get an OPT post graduation. Never been to Boston but heard from others that its a fantastic place to be in. I do get access to the larger MIT community in this program and I can also cross register for electives at Harvard.
If Wharton gave the OPT, it would have been a no-brainer for me. I feel like leadership is my strong point and Wharton is perfect for it.
It would be hard to pay off student loans by an Indian salary and not sure how much of a brand Wharton is in India. In US, its the best.
Any suggestions on what to pick ?
