Hi all - I am curious regarding people's experiences of not choosing schools to send test scores out to during test registration phase on the GMAC website, taking the test, and then requesting GMAC send the official scores electronically to chosen schools. Is this a pretty seamless process? How long does it take? Has anyone had issues going this route?
Although I am certain regarding the schools I will eventually send my scores to, I don't want the scores sent just yet as I'd like to know my score first / be confident in it prior to sending in-case I take it a second time.

Hm... good question. I will preface this by saying that I have no experience with EA Score sending and you can dismiss my reply pretty much instantly but if you are still reading.... the way it works with GMAC and Admissions for the GMAT, the score does not have to be "SENT" to the school by the deadline. You just have to take your test by the deadline. For example, if you take the test now and then decide to apply for the EMBA (or even regular MBA since some are taking EA) in Sept, you can "Send" which really is not sending but rather telling GMAC to share your score with a particular school when they login to their Score Portal. The sharing process is automatic and should pretty fast (even automatic things take days with GMAC though) 
but because you took the test way before the deadline and "shared" it with school and included it on the application, there is little risk of the school not being able to verify it via the portal (schools don't actually do much more than comparing your application with the record available via the EA score reporting tool)

Got it. So it shouldn't be as much of a hassle to request GMAC (getting in touch with the right support department is a nightmare) to send over the scores after taking the test / not indicating schools during the test registration process.
