We don't know exactly how many experimental questions come in the test. We do estimate that since each section is carried off for 60 points each, statistically, no one has much crossed beyond 52 in either of the sections, we can only guess that 30 questions on each section are evaluated. That leaves 7 experimental in quant and 11 in verbal. But these numbers may not be accurately reflective of the actual weightage calculations scenario. I'd rather suggest, since we are never told that a particular question is experimental, we should approach all questions in each section with the same vigor and confidence and try to get as many questions right as possible. The more harder questions you get right, the greater is the score.

Pretty Much. It is not exact science but there are experimental questions that may throw you off, so the rule of thumb is - take one question at a time and do the best you can but don't spend too much time on any single question. Don't over-analyze the test, just do the questions and give them your best - you see an easy question, solve it; you see a hard one, try to solve it. Don't try to guess whether it is experimental - you'll never know.
