I was reading thru Manhattan SC and came across this exercise question.
I am unable to understand why is this right? Can anyone please explain why.

Planting all these seeds is more involved than i thought.

Is it possible to rephrase the above sentence so that the subject comes before the verb?

"Planting all these seeds" is the subject here that begins with a gerund.

The main verb is "is" and the main subject is "planting all these seeds". If you want to rephrase it the way you said, I am afraid the meaning will not be the same.
