Hi guys,

just completed one of the Princeton Review CATs which I recieved with the book.
I got a 590 V36 Q35, normally I score ~650 with Q45-Q49 and V29-33... how come this CAT's score is so different?
I got 68% correct in Verbal and 75% correct in Quant, shouldn't this be a better score?

Is my assumption right that the PR CATs are just as bad as the actual book? Shocking! Some of the questions were shocking too, RC questions that didn't show the correct line numbers, two Q answers with the same value, etc.

Just did another PR CAT - Score 530

V26 with 80% correct
Q36 with 76% correct

Those tests are aboslutely ridiculous!

I think you should avoid Princeton CATs altogether . I had some crazy score variations while taking them . You have tons of other tests available !

Sadly not! Done both GMATprep, the free Kaplan and the free Manhatten one! I was looking for some stamina training so they are okay for that. I do not seem to find other good, free full CATs.

Well, how did you do on the other tests compared to Princeton?

Also, strike rate alone is meaningless. If a test is truly a CAT, you can hit 70% correct and score a 700 and also hit 70% correct and score a 550.

What about the free knewton test ? Did you use just the official guides and Princeton for your prep ? If you used either MGMAT/Kaplan/ veritas prep material , then you would have got access to their tests also

You can also do the new GMAT prep tests and skip the IR section.

I did the actual GMAT and scored a 630 3 weeks ago. Q48 and V29. On other tests I scored around the same, but mostly a bit better.

@aalba005 as far as I know, the new GMATprep test are just the old ones. Just the design changed!
