Good morning,
I will make this brief and to the point. Abhorrent undergrad GPA (2.7+), United States MD and current Internal Medicine resident considering current and future endeavors within my field. Was able to get into medical school with a powerful MCAT score and upward trend (pristine 4.0 in my last 80 or so units, but GPA still heavily bogged-down by early issues). Graduated in the top half of my medical school class with multiple research publications, honors, and awards. With a strong showing on the GMAT, will I have a realistic shot at one of the top MBA programs (T25; T10 preferred) or will my undergrad GPA continue to haunt me nearly 10 years later?
This is entirely still possible; you straightened up your act with the last 80 units and really the GMAT is more important. Obviously do your level best with the application, which is rarely done well - CV, online responses, recs, essays. This is what creates enough interest for the stats to even come into play.
T25 is very reachable, even T15 but can't really say T10. Review the "range" for GPA if published for each school of interest. Cornell is a good target; they forgive bad grades with a decent test score and really pay attention to the application (which is why it is rather long.)
