Hi! Does anyone know the status to get an F1 Visa from India now? My program starts in July . Is it impossible now? :(

Are you not able to get an emergency appointment? I thought students will get preference for emergency appointment at consulates?

Regular appointments are now being scheduled for Nov/Dec based on what students are reporting.

However, you can apply under the emergency basis 60 days before your program starts. You should look up emergency application criteria on the US Consular website and make sure you are within the 60-day timeframe when you request. Don't do it before the 60th day as you will get delayed. Spend some time reading the US Embassy Visa section too.
