:( Guys, just got back from test center. Got a 600 (Q49, V23).........am in a state of disbelief...........AWA was OK, had prepared for the topics, hence was a smooth ride.........Quant was easy too, finished with 10 minutes to spare.........Till then I thought I was going great guns..........Verbal Started with a 2 SC and then an RC for questions 3, 4 & 5.......then SC and CR's followed........got 4 RC passages........3 were 40 lines and one was 55........I kinda did not feel confident through the whole verbal section........SC's were long and CR's were the flaw/assumption questions..........overall I did very bad in Verbal :( ...I need help regarding the Verbal preparation, I am planning to register for the test again in 3 weeks.........Is this a good enough time to master Verbal........please comment ASAP..thanks in advance for all of ur comments........!!

I'm curious, did you study the OG? If so, how well did you do on those questions?

Yes I did OG........Frankly I did well in Sentence correction, but majority of the RC's I was getting on an average 2 or 3 wrong among 6 questions per passage.......CR's I was getting around 70 % correct......any suggests??

i would also like to know how you prep for each section of verbal.
Please explain in detail. Lets see what we can do

i know what went wrong ,OG had much shorter SCs and the real GMAT must have stumped you with longer SCs,i faced this problem
in my opinion SCs require less time and make up for time lost on other sections but when u see a lon SC dont get scared just read it cooly and identify the right answer.

practice longerSCs to feel comfortable on the test and try princeton review for CR strategies my accuracy increased by 50%
